1. Children earn credits for completing tasks as defined by their parents.
  2. The amount of credits that each child has earned is displayed next to the gold coin symbol just below each timer on the dashboard.
  3. In the example below, Polly has 10 credits, Lyla and Rory have none.

  4. Parents can award credits to children who have completed tasks by tapping the gold rewards icon above the cog for each child on the right hand side of the dashboard.
  5. By tapping the completed tasks, children will then be awarded the relevant amount of credits.

  6. Children can also claim rewards for the tasks that they have completed.

  7. When the child opens the ScreenLimit app on the device that they are assigned to they will see their timer with a tab below to ‘Claim Rewards’. If they then tap Claim Rewards they will see a list of tasks that they can claim to have completed.

  8. If they tap the task that they claim to have completed then a red banner will appear stating that it has been claimed.

  9. A red marker will then appear in the parents’ dashboard alerting the parent that a reward has been claimed:

  10. The parent then taps the gold reward symbol which will then reveal which task has been claimed by the child. If the parent agrees that the task has been completed they can then award the child the credits due.
  11. Children can use the credits earned to purchase screen time as and when they wish (within the daily time constraints). Coming Soon – Children will be able to purchase non-screen rewards such as a trip to the zoo.
  12. To do this the child must open the ScreenLimit app on the device that they are assigned to where they will see their timer with a tab below to ‘Buy More Time’.

  13. If they then tap to buy more time they will then be informed of how many credits they have available to spend.

  14. One credit will purchase one minute of screen time. If the parents have set a daily reset of time then if the child purchases more time than they require and don’t use it all, the timer will still reset and any unused time will be lost. So children should only buy as much time as they need.
